The Creek’s Top 5 for the Weekend…Bragg Jam Edition

So this week we’re doing it a little different. We’ve listed 5 bands at Bragg Jam we don’t want to miss and don’t think you should either! And, to all of the other bands performing this year, don’t think we’re leaving you out. You can read up on every band here: Bragg Jam 2017! Every Venue, Every Band

Ticket and general information can be found at Bragg Jam

Jamie Saunders

T. Hardy Morris
Where: Grant’s Lounge
When: 10pm

Playing with his band The Hardknocks, this rocker based out of Athens will be “air guitaring” in what will be an awesome late night show at historic Grant’s Lounge. A regular on the southeastern touring scene, T. Hardy last played Macon in March, at the Cox Capitol Theatre opening for The Futurebirds. Hardy & The Hardknocks released their most recent album Drownin on a Mountaintop in June 2015 from their label Dangerbird Records.

Faye Webster
Where: Taste and See(4-4:45pm) and 567 Center(8:15-9:00pm)
When: See Above

Faye Webster, the quickly rising artist out of Atlanta, is one that you definitely should not miss! With a sound that is rooted in americana and country, Faye is now taking a different approach. With the influences of southern R&B and Hip-Hop she has made music that is very much uniquely her own. It’s as if you took a perfect 70s pop/rock sound and layered it with jangly guitars and a subtle hip-hop down beat. Since the first time I heard her music I was an instant fan, and can promise you won’t be disappointed. And look, you’ve got two chances to see her so there is definitely no excuse! Let’s welcome her to Macon with a bang.

Brad Evans

Bob Lennon
Where: Fresh Produce Music Hall
When: 7:15pm

Don’t sleep on this guy. He played The 11th Hour Readers Choice awards and blew everyone away, he won the best hip hop artist award at the same event, and he’s playing with a full band, horns, guitar, and Big Baby on drums which is a sight to behold, I’m telling you. Bob Lennon is gonna be famous. See him while you can.

Charles Davis

Little Stranger
Where: Roasted Cafe and Lounge
When: 6:30pm

Roasted Cafe is one of my favorite places to see music during Bragg Jam. It was the place where hundreds of people gathered around and sang Bohemian Rhapsody in the wee hours of the morning last year and this year Little Stranger will take the stage to rock the crowd. Whether playing as a duo or as a 5 piece band, John and Kevin Shield are the core members of this great hip hop group with an indie feel. With John’s great songwriting and Kevin’s hard hitting delivery, this is a show not to be missed.

Aaron Irons

Widow Pills
Where: Grant’s Lounge
When: 5:30pm

Widow Pills is comprised of some great local talent in Chris Nylund, Nathan Garrett, Daniel Strickland, and Denny Hanson. Their gritty, raw, southern sound is one not to be missed. Get out, get sweaty, and rock at historic Grant’s Lounge while supporting these local boys!
