“Hank Vegas began as the alter ego of singer, songwriter Chad Evans in the fall of 2002 and culminated with the release of the critically acclaimed album “the things you are” in 2007, produced in Athens, Georgia by David Barbe.
After a bit of a hiatus these guys came back with a bang a few weeks ago for the opening night of Bragg Jam! If you missed them, you’ve got a second chance to catch them this weekend at Second Sunday. Let me tell you…you don’t want to miss this show. Second Sunday has always been one of my favorite events in Macon. Bring your coolers, picnics, blankets, kids, dogs. Hell. Just bring everyone you know and have a great time with some killer music! Macon Taste of the Arts Beach Ball
When: Saturday August 12th 7pm
Where: Terminal Station, Downtown Macon
Cost: $35 in advance, $50 at the door
One of the best events of the year in Downtown Macon is the Taste of the Arts happening down at the historic Terminal Station in downtown Macon. This year they are creating a cool beach experience with over 15 local organizations competing to create the best cocktail drink in town. They will also have a karaoke competition judged by yours truly. This will be an event not to be missed so put on your best beach shirt and meet me at the Terminal Station Saturday night!
Baby Baby with Howl

You can’t get better live music in Macon for only $5 on Friday night. Atlanta band Baby Baby will bring their high energy rock show to The Hummingbird Stage and Taproom with local band Howl. With Fontez Brooks on guitar and vocals, Grant Wallace on drums, Colin Boddy on percussion and Hsiang-Ming Wen on bass, Baby Baby always knows how to start the party in every town they play. And of course you don’t want to miss one of Macon’s newest bands HOWL featuring Chris Nylund and Denny Hanson. As Andrea Marlowe said in the latest 11th Hour, “HOWL is a raw, sometimes brazenly sexual rock and roll band that gets your feet moving and your palms a little sweaty.” So come have a few with everyone at The Bird, tip your bartenders, and enjoy this awesome night of live music.

It’s a big deal when the biggest name in Country Music come to Macon GA. The One-Night-Only Concert Event Moves to the Macon Coliseum To Once Again Benefit the Children’s Hospital at Navicent. After raising more than half a million dollars at last year’s intimate stripped-down performance, Aldean will expand to the Macon Coliseum this year. All proceeds will once again benefit the Children’s Hospital, Navicent Health, which serves as Bibb County’s only dedicated pediatric facility in central Georgia that enhances the lives of children through patient care, research and education

Don’t be a sour puss this weekend! Head out to Just Tap’d in Macon and celebrate all things sour, tart, and funky this Friday!
Orpheus Brewing will be at Just Tap’d for a sour extravganza-tap takeover; handing out swag and starting the weekend off on a sour note. 100.9 The Creek’s very own Black & Mild, Charles Davis and Anthony Ennis, will be spinning your favorite funky tunes. There will also be plenty of fresh sour dough bread, sour candies and our hand crafted lemon drop sangria. And of course there will be feature wild, sour and funky beers from some of Just Tap’d favorite breweries with 15+ on tap!
