Prepare your hearts and minds, Brent Cobb fans: even more music and goodness has just arrived from one of our favorites.

As if the wonderfully wild weekend of music in Macon, Georgia during his inaugural South of Atlanta Fest that just wrapped wasn’t enough (more on that below!), Cobb has now dropped a brand-new, fuzzy banger of a single that reverberates through speakers like an unexpected sonic boom.
And what it might suggest about his also-newly-announced next album is that there isn’t much Cobb can’t do musically.
The title track to the forthcoming album, “Ain’t Rocked In a While,” finds Cobb and his band The Fixin’s definitely making up for lost time when it comes to rockin’ and rollin’. P.S. the music video for the new single is out now, too.
The new album Ain’t Rocked In A While drops July 11, 2025. To pre-order or pre-save the album, click HERE.
The real question: when has our boy been able to get some rest?!
Last weekend, Cobb and company rocked Macon with the very first South of Atlanta Festival, which was a smash success. Cobb brought in friends like Ben Chapman, Silverada, The Band Loula, Meg McRee, Neil Medley, Wade Sapp, Adam Hood, J.B. Strauss, and more to help kick it off right for the masses who attended.
“Macon, GA holds a special place in my heart and I’m glad we were able to show off so many cool places in this city,” Cobb shared in a recap to Instagram followers.
And he really did. Shows for the festival brought fans to The Capitol Theatre, Capricorn Sound Studios, Fresh Produce Records, and The Big House Museum. Not to mention one of downtown’s favorite hotspots, Piedmont Brewery, where Cobb celebrated the release of his hoppy collaboration with the brewmasters, a custom light lager aptly named “Shade Tree.”
Raise your hand if you enjoyed one of those during the weekend’s festivities, thereby also contributing to the good work of the Georgia Music Foundation! (Oh yeah, he absolutely donated a portion of each beer sale to the non-profit aimed and keeping music education alive in Georgia schools.)

If you weren’t able to attend this year’s inaugural festival and are currently experiencing the world’s worst case of “FOMO,” fear not. Cobb announced in his Instagram post that, “We will most definitely doing another one in 2026!”
We’ll crack open a cold Shade Tree lager to that news… who should we wish to be on the 2026 lineup?
