It was the mother of all reunion shows that had all of Central Georgia (and Dickey Betts fans everywhere) chained to their computers in a desperate attempt to snag tickets: the In Memory of Dickey Betts all-star concert that hit Macon City Auditorium at the beginning of 2025.
The only night-only event held back in February boasted performances by Warren Haynes, Derek Trucks, Susan Tedeschi, Oteil Burbridge, Chuck Leavell, Devon Allman, Duane Betts, Charlie Starr, Jimmy Hall, Lamar Williams Jr. and more, and sold out in record time, leaving many fans disappointed that they missed out on such a historic occasion.
But this new announcement might just give us a bit of a redo, folks.
Atrium Health Amphitheater has revealed that Derek and Susan, along with the rest of the stellar Tedeschi Trucks Band will be returning to Macon on October 11, 2025. Along for the ride? Haynes and Gov’t Mule, and Duane and his band Palmetto Motel.

The night promises to be an exciting blend of soulful blues, rock, and improvisational brilliance that has cemented each band’s place in the music scene. The announcement comes on the heels of Trucks and Haynes headlining two sold-out nights at the famed Madison Square Garden with The Brothers, celebrating the legacy of Macon’s own Allman Brothers Band.
If it’s feeling like another reunion show of sorts, that might be a fair statement. After all, we know this entire crew maintains a tight, very special bond with each other, both personally and professionally. One thing is true of the Allman Brothers storied legacy: no matter the ups and downs, the miles, or the years gone by, once you’re part of the family, you stay that way. And lineups like this one produce a kind of familial chemistry onstage that you just can’t fabricate.
For his part, Duane Betts continues to lead the charge as the musical heir to the Betts name, never failing to acknowledge his iconic father and show up in his second home of Macon to jam with his musical family.
“Gonna be a hell of a night!” Duane posted on his Instagram account. Indeed, it will be.
If this crew’s last night appearance in Macon is any indicator, this show will be one of the Amphitheater’s hottest evenings of the year. You’ll want to be prepared when public tickets go on sale Thursday, April 24, 2025, at 10 AM EST on Ticketmaster.
