Macon native Russell Henley will compete in the Open Championship for the 11th time this week in Northern Ireland. The tournament will be played at Royal Portrush Golf Club.
Henley’s best finish at the Open is fifth in 2024, and he has made the cut five times. The former Stratford star will play with England’s Tyrrell Hatton and Australia’s Min Woo Lee in the first two rounds. They will tee off at 9:37 a.m. ET on Thursday in the first round and 4:36 a.m. on Friday in the second round.
In this year’s other majors, Henley missed the cut at the Masters and the PGA Championship and finished tied for 10th at the U.S. Open. He has three top-10 finishes at the majors in the past two years.
Henley has five career PGA Tour wins, including this year at the Arnold Palmer Invitational.
