The Creek (WNEX) Contest Rules
- Contest participants must listen to the radio for contest details. The on-air personality will announce various contest information that will include details such as, but not limited to:
- entry and submission guidelines and deadlines.
- age requirements.
- grand prize info.
- start and end dates of contest.
- and other pertinent details to win.
- The Creek contests are open to all listeners, unless specified by station management (i.e. age requirements for concert tickets per venue restrictions or geographic restrictions). Submission of mail-in entries must arrive the day before the contest deadline.
- Any contest that includes social media entries are subject to terms and conditions set forth by the social media company.
- The Creek reserves the right to limit the number of entries per person during the contest.
- The Creek is not responsible for technical problems with the phone or computer systems during the course of on-air contest or any delays and problems with the United States Postal System during the course of a mail-in contest.
- Prizes for the contest are provided by The Creek and/or by radio station advertisers or sponsors.
- Grand prizes for the contest are determined by representatives of The Creek and generally provided by station advertisers or sponsors.
- The Creek reserves the right to substitute prize merchandise and grand prizes of comparable value when deemed necessary by station management.
- Acceptance of prize constitutes winner’s agreement to release The Creek, prize sponsors, its affiliates, subsidiaries, agents, and families of each of the above from all liability of any type whatsoever associated with this contest.
- Contest prizes are not transferable. Prizes may not be substituted or redeemed cash.
- Prize winners of any amount are subject to a limit of one winner per household per 30 days. Household member is defined as any individual living at an address for more than 3 months in a calendar year.
- Prize winners are responsible for any and all local, state, and federal taxes applicable to the prizes awarded. If Prize Winners receive more than $600 in prize value in a calendar year, they will be issued an IRS Form 1099 from The Creek.
- Prize winners are responsible for any cost involved with the acceptance of the prize beyond the value of said prize. Unless otherwise stated, prize winners will be responsible for meals, merchandise, gratuities, and any incidental charges.
- Employees of The Creek, its affiliates, subsidiaries, advertisers, prize sponsors, agents and families of each are not eligible to enter in any contest sponsored by The Creek.
- Participation in the on-air contest constitutes permission to use any part of, or all of winner’s name, likeness, voice, and photo for promotional purposes.
- Odds of winning depend on the number of contestants participating and / or number of eligible entries received.
- Participants need not be present to win.
- Decisions of The Creek management regarding any aspect of any contest are final.
- So long as no contestant is adversely affected in any material way, The Creek reserves the right to cancel this contest or, make changes to the rules of the contest at any time. Any changes made will become effective once announced on the air.
- The Creek, as well as participating merchants, if any, are not responsible for lost, misdirected, mutilated, illegible or incomplete entries (where applicable).
- Failure of a contestant to comply with the contest rules may result in a contestant disqualification.
- The Creek has the right to revoke and cease all prize package of the contestant due to misconduct and misrepresentation of the station.
- The Creek, its subsidiaries, its general partners, its affiliates, its advertisers, participating sponsors and promotional partners will not assume any responsibility for any changes in the execution of the contest, including cancellation of the contest as a result of the occurrence of events not within the control of The Creek such as Acts of God, Strikes, and Terrorist Acts.
- Any gift card (or similar) is subject to the terms set forth by the issuer. The Creek will not provide any renumeration for gift cards that expire or are otherwise unusable.
- In the event of a cancellation of a concert or special event for any reason, The Creek will hold no responsibility for a substitution of prizes. The station will assist in delivery of updated tickets in the event a show is rescheduled.
- No purchase necessary to win.
- The Creek will notify prize winners at the end of a contest to arrange delivery or pickup of prize(s). In the event that a prize winner does not acknowledge the prize (via email or phone, as contacted by The Creek) within 48 hours, The Creek may select a new winner, and original prize winner will forfeit all rights to the prize.
- Contest is void where prohibited by law.
