Macon Music Revue: “Queen of Hearts”

The Macon Music Revue‘s Live at Capricorn session honors the great Gregg Allman and his song “Queen of Hearts” off of their self-titled debut album. Recorded in the legendary Capricorn Sound Studios on Studio B in Macon, Georgia.

Queen of Hearts (Gregg Allman)
Gregg Allman began work on his debut solo album after the Allman Brothers Band rejected his song, “Queen of Hearts,” for inclusion on Brothers and Sisters. Recorded in Macon at Capricorn Sound Studios in March of 1973, the sublime Laid Back included the romantic “Queen of Hearts,” a standout cut later named by Allman as a favorite among the songs he’d written.
