Wesleyan Wolves Release 2020 Softball Schedule

The Wesleyan Wolves softball program has released its 2020 schedule, and Head Coach Penny Siqueiros enters her second season at the helm loaded with new talent and ready for a challenging season. New this year is the William Peace Triangle Classic where the Wolves are set to play in four games. Of those four opponents there, three made it to the NCAA Division III Super Regionals while the other made it into the USA South Conference playoffs last year.

The Wolves are bringing in 13 newcomers made up of Freshmen and transfers to add a greater depth to this season’s lineup.

Coach Siqueiros states, “We are building off all the successes of Head Coach Dickey Hightower and previous alum. I have always enjoyed building programs, and it’ll be super fun to see where our program goes this year. With our returning talent, Junior College transfers, new freshmen, and a new pitching coach, we seem to have filled all aspects of a foundation for creating a competitive team. We have speed, power, defense, and pitching. Now we have to understand what it means to work at a high level, every day, all day, every time we hit the field. I can’t wait to see how we grow.”

The season will kick off at home on February 15th against softball powerhouse Belhaven. Be sure to follow the Wolves on social media and at www.wesleyanathletics.com for more updates.
