You are invited to join Wesleyan College for the trip of a lifetime!
Experience the history and pageantry that accompanies some of the United Kingdom’s greatest sites and traditions. The Royal Windsor Horse Show has been held for five days in May or June annually since 1943 and is the UK’s largest outdoor premier show. Located in the private grounds of Windsor Castle, it is the only time of year the grounds are opened up to the public and the only show in the UK to host the very best of international competition across four FEI disciplines (Dressage, Showjumping, Driving, and Endurance) with over 180 classes of Showing.
Other trip highlights include The National Stud, an integral part of the British thoroughbred industry for more than 100 years. Visitors can expect to see yearlings and stallions, as well as mares with their young foals in the paddocks. The guided tour will explain the history behind The Stud and an overview of the work that goes into producing the future champions of the turf. Other adventures include visiting The Newmarket Racecourse, established in 1667 and often referred to as the headquarters of British horseracing and home to the largest cluster of training yards in the country, and the iconic Changing of the Guard at Buckingham Palace.
