For those of you who like to dig a little deeper, check out Dance With The Devil: The Cozy Powell Story when it’s released on 3/20. Cozy kept the beat for a pantheon of outfits– Jeff Beck, Whitesnake, Black Sabbath, Deep Purple to name only a few– while forming a legacy and a legend all his own…

Willie Nelson has more years than albums– but not by much. First Rose of Spring marks the Red Headed Stranger’s 70th release on 4/24 and will be followed by his 87th birthday on 4/29

Also on 4/24, The Indigo Girls are set to release their first album in five years. Look Long was recorded at Peter Gabriel’s Real World Studios and will be available in a special double LP… 

And if you were sittin’ there thinkin’ that it was time for a new Lucinda Williams album, you won’t have to wait long! Good Souls Better Angels was recorded with Ray Kennedy and produced by Williams and her husband Tom Overby. No pre-order info as of yet, but initial reports claim a 4/24 release date… 

The Mastersons will release No Time for Love Songs on 5/6. Featuring guest shots from Shooter Jennings (who also produced), Aaron Lee Tasjan, and Bonnie Whitmore— and don’t miss The Mastersons and Bonnie Whitmore LIVE on The Creek Stage 4/8

And in related news, Steve Earle & The Dukes (featuring the Mastersons) will release Ghosts of West Virginia on 5/22. Recorded at Electric Lady Studios in NYC, the album will be dedicated to the memory of longtime Dukes member Kelley Looney— who passed away last November– and revolves around the 2010 Upper Big Branch coal mine explosion…

Bobby Elliott has written an autobiography for release on 9/17. It Ain’t Heavy, It’s My Story: My Life in The Hollies will cover 60 years of life as a rock n’ roll drummer, the highs, the lows, and everything in between…
