The Governor’s Office of the State of Georgia has extended the shelter in place order for all residents and visitors until Thursday, 11:59pm April 30, 2020 and the State of Emergency until May 13, 2020. Exceptions to the order include:

In addition, any businesses or services allowed to remain in operation under the order must enhance & maintain sanitation, place notices & require handwashing, provide personal protective equipment as available, prohibit gatherings of workers, permit workers to take breaks & meals where proper social distancing is attainable, implement teleworking for all possible workers, implement staggered shifts, hold meetings & conferences virtually when possible, discourage the shared use of work tools & equipment, provide disinfectant and sanitation products for workers, prohibit handshaking or any other unnecessary personal contact, suspend the use of PIN pads as permitted, screen & evaluate workers who exhibit signs of illness consistent with COVID-10 (fever over 100.4 degrees Fahrenheit, cough, shortness of breath) and allow those employees to remain home and seek medical help.

Gun stores will be permitted to remain open but all current orders regarding bars, clubs, and restaurants remain in place prohibiting indoor/dine-in service while allowing for curbside pick-up, delivery, and takeout. Gyms, fitness centers, indoor amusement facilities, bowling alleys, pool halls, theaters, massage parlors, nail salons, hair and beauty salons, barbershops, night clubs, bars, reception halls, and any other similar facilities open to the general public will continue to remain closed.

Residents should only receive visitors providing necessary food and supplies for household use, medical supplies, medication, and equipment, supplies to work at home, products needed to maintain the safety, sanitation, and maintenance of the home or residence, or during end-of-life circumstances.

Violations will be subject to enforcement by local authorities.
