COVID-19 is changing the way we operate daily. For business owners of every variety, the how’s and what’s of safely opening the doors to the public are often a challenge. “We teach hazardous technician, hazardous specialist courses. We do decontamination– wet decontamination, dry decontamination, decontamination for radiological, decontamination with electrostatic guns,” says Jorge Roque, a 17-year veteran of the fire service and owner of WWITS. “We already have the skill set. We already know what we’re doing here. So let’s just go out there and do this.”
WWITS technicians use EPA recommended chemicals that are also approved for food surfaces by the National Science Foundation. Certainly, restaurants are a target audience for Roque and his crew, but there are no limits to the disinfection application.
“People have their eyes on the restaurant industry,” says Roque, “But nobody’s really thinking about this as far as a dental practice, your regular doctor’s appointment, the spas… There’s really nobody that’s excluded from this– churches, schools, gyms… If it affects one business, it doesn’t magically not affect the other one.”
In addition to the disinfection services, which cost just cents per square foot, WWITS professionals will also inform clients and their employees on how to identify and maintain problem areas that need to be addressed in order to prevent the spread of infection.
