The Nancy Ellis Knox Equestrian Center at Wesleyan College invites riders of all ages and skill levels to join in a Fun Fall Horse Show Saturday, November 7. Schooling is offered Saturday morning from 7:30am-8:30am and Class 1 lead line begins at 9:00am.
Classes progress from walk-only lead line, walk/trot, ground poles & trot cross rails for early beginners, walk/trot/canter for more experienced riders & horses, and cantering crossrail hunter & low hunter classes. Click here for a list of classes and class descriptions. Western Horsemanship classes include walk/jog with optional lope. Horse show fees: $10 per class; Grounds fee: $15 per horse.
There is a special Hobby Horse Costume Class for ages 12 & under and ages 13 & up offered mid-day. What you will need: a hobby horse (stick horse), a theme to decorate your hobby horse, and your own costume. Rules? There are no rules except that your décor must be fun and family-friendly! Prizes will be awarded in a variety of categories.
