Macon Mayhem & DFCS Partner to form Mac’s Angel Tree

In years past, the Macon Mayhem have hosted a Teddy Bear Toss where fans were encouraged to throw stuffed animals onto the ice after the first Mayhem goal to donate to the Beverly Knight Olson Children’s Hospital and other local charities. Teddy Bear Toss Nights have been kind to the Mayhem in the past with a 3-1 record by a combined score of 17-6. The Mayhem would like to thank all of our fans for their overwhelming support of this worthwhile venture.

Unfortunately, due to complications revolving around the Grinch that is COVID-19 and the SPHL season push to a post-Christmas start date, the Mayhem are not able to host the annual Teddy Bear Toss. But the team still wanted to take time and reflect on how fortunate have been in the past year and how we as a team can give help give back to a community that has done so much for us.

We have partnered with the local Department of Family and Children Services offices here in Middle Georgia to start our first ever Mac’s Angel Tree. We have adopted several local foster kids from the area to sponsor their holidays this year. Many of our amazing partners have already reached out to help take part in this great project. We are asking that our wonderful fans take hold of this new initiative as they have done with our Teddy Bear Toss and help us make a positive impact in the lives of so many who need our support.

There are several ways to get involved with Mac’s Angel Tree this Christmas season. We have a combined Christmas List and created two registries through Amazon and BuyBuyBaby. You may also donate through the Mayhem team store and have us put the money towards Mac’s Angel Tree. We will also be accepting clothes for the following sizes:
