Georgia VECTR Center to Welcome Veteran Chef for Live Cooking Demonstration February 26

The Georgia Veterans Education Career Transition Resource (VECTR) Center is cooking up something special.

In addition to its regular monthly Lunch and Learn Workshop series presented by in-house partner, the U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) Veterans Business Outreach Centers (VBOC), the Center will feature a live cooking demonstration by Chef Scottie A. Johnson. The event will take place on Friday, February 26, 2021, from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at the Georgia VECTR Center located at 1001 S. Armed Forces Blvd. in Warner Robins.

Typically, the series focuses on veteran, small business development, business acumen, and entrepreneurship over a meal. However, February’s rendition will bring a unique twist to the event, as Chef Scottie teaches guests how to make a savory chicken dish.

The VECTR Center staff is excited for Chef Scottie to demo and share his experience as a veteran small business owner.

Chef Scottie is an award-winning personal chef, author, and owner of Blessed & Highly Flavored Cuisine, LLC and regularly conducts live demonstrations and cooking classes. After serving 26 years in the Army and retiring with a rank of First Sergeant, Chef Scottie attended culinary arts school. Now, as a chef, he explores his passions for creating new dishes and discovering twists on traditional dishes. Chef Scottie is the 2019 Georgia Seafood Champion of the annual Georgia Seafood Festival.
