Melissa Carper has released a video of the title track to her forthcoming album Ramblin’ Soul, due out on November 18th.
“Ramblin’ Soul” click-clacks and swings along with full harmony, pedal steel, and juke joint piano accentuating Carper’s timeless delivery. Her last effort, 2021’s Daddy’s Country Gold was a staff favorite (it remains a constant on the Irons family turntable) and anticipation’s been high since Melissa revealed the sequel in a conversation this past January.
Produced at The Bomb Shelter in Nashville by Andrija Tokic and Dennis Crouch and featuring appearances from Chris Scruggs, Sierra Ferrell, Kyshona Armstrong, and more, Ramblin’ Soul also includes a co-write with Gina Gallina and covers from pal Brennen Leigh and Odetta alongside ten new Carper originals.
