Ever since its opening in 2020, Jail Creek Farms Winery & Distillery has been bringing smiles to people all over Central Georgia. Owners Joe and Tammy Albert have created a lovely space just outside of Jeffersonville where the sense of community is as readily available as their assortment of locally grown fruit wines. On Saturday, October 15, 2022, that spirit of care and community will be on full display as they host Fight for Fisher, a fundraising event to help the family of young Fisher Pritchett.
Ten-year-old Fisher, with the loving support of his family, has been in and out of hospitals battling leukemia for the past year, usually for long periods of time. Monticello Kart Racing heard about Fisher’s struggles and understanding the exceedingly high costs of medical care has teamed up with Jail Creek Farm for a day of live music and fundraising auctions. MKR will also be selling half-chicken plates throughout the day.
All of the proceeds from the auctions and plate sells will be donated to the family of Fisher Pritchett to help with the ongoing cost of care and treatment.
The live music will begin at 1:00pm with Reckless Soul followed by Gracie May at 4:00pm. Jason Taylor Hobbs will be perform from from 6-9pm.
The auction will take place between set up and take down of bands and will feature items from local business and other generous donors.
Tammy Albert from Jail Creek had this to say about the upcoming event, “Someone in our community needed help and we’re just really glad that we are able to provide.”
