Former Allman Brothers Band “Tour Mystic” and world-renowned photographer Kirk West has seen it all– and documented most of it in black & white! West’s career began in Chicago in the early ’60s, where he photographed Frank Zappa, Muddy Waters, and Junior Wells, to name a few. Later, he found himself on the outlaw country circuit, and his photos of Merle Haggard, Johnny Cash, and George Jones capture some of the most iconic moments in country music history. Into the Mystic will take on a different form in each episode– you might hear all blues, country, or obscure jazz– but the common thread will be phenomenal stories from the life of Kirk West as he delves into the deeper side of the music he loves!
