Georgia will host NC State this weekend in the NCAA baseball tournament’s Super Regional round. The team that wins the three-game series will advance to the College World Series in Omaha, Neb.
Georgia, the No. 7 seed in the tournament, carries a 42-15 record into the Super Regional. NC State is 36-20. Both teams swept their three games in the Regional round.
Georgia is making its fifth Super Regional appearance and first since 2008. The Bulldogs have advanced to the College World Series in their four previous Super Regional appearances. NC State is making its sixth Super Regional appearance.
