Russell Henley set for 11th U.S. Open appearance

Macon’s Russell Henley will compete in the U.S. Open for the 11th time this week at Pinehurst, No. 2 in North Carolina.

Henley will be paired with Patrick Cantlay and Matt Kuchar in the first two rounds. They tee off at 7:40 a.m. on Thursday off the 10th tee in the first round. On Friday, they tee off at 1:25 p.m. off the first tee in the second round.

Henley first played in the U.S. Open as an amateur in 2010 and finished tied for 16th. His best finish is T13 in 2021 at Torrey Pines, and last year, he finished T14 at Los Angeles Country Club.

Henley has made the cut in seven of his previous appearances.
