FRIDAY’S RECAPS

Perry 49, Peach County 39: The Panthers had 490 yards of total offense, including 317 rushing, while the Trojans finished with 459 yards in this offensive showcase. Ahmad Gordon had 181 yards rushing and two touchdowns on 29 carries for Perry, while Decorrion Daniels added 70 yards and two touchdowns. Peach County was led by quarterback “DJ” Hudson Jr., who passed for 317 yards and four touchdowns and rushed for 72 yards. KJ Glover had five catches for 224 yards and two touchdowns.

ACE 38, Central 6: ACE rolled up 420 yards of offense in its opener, including 179 yards passing and 73 yards rushing from quarterback Ace Hatcher, who passed for three touchdowns. Josiah Harris added 53 yards rushing and a touchdown. Brice Whitley had five catches for 97 yards and two touchdowns.

Jones County 48, Woodland, Stockbridge 19: Devin Edmonds completed 16-of-21 passes for 266 yards and two touchdowns, and Zacarri Thomas rushed for 113 yards and four touchdowns as the Greyhounds improved to 2-0 and won their GHSA Region 2-4A opener. Jaivon Solomon added seven catches for 121 yards and a touchdown.

Dublin 66, East Laurens 26: Dublin finished with 593 yards of offense, while East Laurens had 413 yards. Xavier Bostic rushed for 177 yards and two touchdowns for Dublin, while Micah O’Neal had 121 yards and four touchdowns. Tylan Snead threw for 299 yards and two touchdowns for East Laurens and rushed for 68 yards and two more touchdowns.

FPD 49, Marion County 21: Bennett Lake rushed for 97 yards on 10 carries, and Brady McHugh added 75 yards on 10 carries as the Vikings improved to 2-0. McHugh had two touchdown carries, while Lake had one and an interception return for a score.

Westfield 40, Southland 0: Brayden Gay completed 11-of-14 passes for 212 yards, and Jackson Hair added 90 yards rushing and a rushing touchdown as the Hornets remained undefeated.

Covenant 13, Crisp Academy 12: Senior running back Asa Wood scored two touchdowns for the Rams. Hayden Korink had a game-sealing interception with 1:00 to play.
