FRIDAY’S RECAPS

Perry 38, Veterans 0: Ahmad Gordon rushed for 74 yards and two touchdowns, and Corrion Daniels added 63 yards and two touchdowns for the Panthers. Quarterback Cullen McDaniel passed for 56 yards and one touchdown. The Perry defense held the Warhawks to 80 yards of total offense.

Jones County 21, Union Grove 14: Devin Edmonds completed 17-of-30 passes for 255 yards and one touchdown to lead the Greyhounds to the region win. Jaivon Solomon had eight catches for 157 yards and the touchdown. The Greyhounds also rushed for 180 yards and touchdowns from Bruno Hicks and Zacarri Thomas.

ACE 51, Wilkinson County 14: Ace Hatcher passed for 188 yards and four touchdowns and rushed for two more touchdowns for the Gryphons. Josiah Harris had 17 carries for 85 yards as ACE rolled up 236 yards rushing.

Tattnall Square 32, Strong Rock 22: Antone Johnson rushed for 211 yards and four touchdowns on 26 carries for the Trojans, who won their fourth straight game. Johnson scored on runs of 28, 55, 5 and 20 yards. After Strong Rock took a 22-13 lead, Johnson scored the game’s final three touchdowns.

FPD 47, Pinewood Christian 0: Bennett Lake rushed for 149 yards and three touchdowns, Major Simmons had 134 yards and two touchdowns, and Brady McHugh added 86 yards and a touchdown for the Vikings. FPD finished with 488 rushing yards.
