Russell Henley wins Arnold Palmer Invitational

Macon’s Russell Henley claimed the fifth win of his PGA Tour career, and the biggest of the five as a Signature Event, on Sunday at the Arnold Palmer Invitational at Bay Hill Club.

Henley finished Sunday’s final round at 11 under after rounds of 72-68-67-70. The win marked his fourth top-10 finish of the 2025 season.

It was Henley’s first win since the 2022 World Wide Technology Championship. He also won the 2017 Shell Houston Open, the 2014 Honda Classic and the 2013 Sony Open. He joined the PGA Tour in 2013.

Henley was 2 over in Sunday’s round through 10 holes and trailed Collin Morikawa by as many as three shots but responded with two birdies and an eagle in the final seven holes to claim the win. The eagle on the 16th hole gave Henley the lead for the first time.

Henley finished tied for seventh at the U.S. Open last year and tied for fifth at The Open Championship, and then he finished tied for fourth at The Tour Championship. He then was a member of the winning United States Presidents Cup team. With Sunday’s win, he has moved up to No. 7 in the Official World Golf Ranking.
