Since the album, Capricorn, debuted in February of 2023 at the top spot on Billboard’s blues charts, Eddie 9V has toured the world to steadily growing audiences who are thrilled with the band’s old school swagger and energy. Born in 1996, Eddie 9V, aka Brooks Mason, who acquired his first guitar at age six, passed up the prevailing pop scene at Oak Grove High School in favor of local heroes like Sean Costello and “older cats” like Muddy Waters, Howlin’ Wolf, Freddie King, and Rory Gallagher “to see what made them groove and tick.” If reviews are any gauge, Eddie 9V figured out exactly what made his heroes groove and tick. No Depression says his previous album, Little Black Flies, was “shot through with enough soul to put him up there with the throat-searing screamers he idolizes and emulates” while “Capricorn merely adds to that legacy, earning him a Ph.D. in soul, Piled Higher and Deeper.”

The Katie Skene Band is a blues & Americana band that infuses the twang of Southern rock with the cosmic sounds of California. Originally from Tallahassee, FL and currently based in Ventura, CA, Katie has shared the stage with many legendary artists and musicians, including Bob Weir & Phil Lesh, Chris Robinson, Col. Bruce Hampton, Warren Haynes and more. Her band incorporates funky far-out synths, soaring southern-fried guitar, colorful keyboards and intoxicating blues-drenched vocals, all laid over a deeply pocketed groove. This band melds the west coast jam-band spirit brought by Katie and keys wizard Stewart Forgey with the greasy down-home southern funk of ATL rhythm section Jake Dane and Adam Hendley.
