Macon Music Live: Origins
Macon Music Live: Origins, presented by Macon200 and Visit Macon, is a musical play and performance spotlighting the stories of Lucille Hagaman, Little Richard, Hamp Swain, Otis Redding, Phil Walden, Alan Walden, James Brown and Ann Howard of Ann’s TicToc Lounge. The play is directed by Jim Crisp, written & conceived by Jessica Walden and produced by Rock Candy Tours.
Macon Music Live: Origins features local actors/performers: Anthony Ennis, Charles Davis, Chomoya Faulk, Jim Montgomery, Roger “Christian” Walden, Saralyn Collins, and Trajan Clayton.
Macon Music Revue will provide music during the play and will perform a set of Macon music hits and deep cuts following the narrative section of the play. Macon Music Revue musicians include: Charles Davis (vocals); Evan Bentzel (bass); Dustin McCook (guitar, vocals); Ethan Hamlin (keys, vocals) and Caleb Melvin (drums, vocals).
The play runs through Sun., Feb. 25, 2024 at The Capitol Theatre (382 2nd Street, Macon, GA 31201). Doors open at 6:30 – program starts at 7:30 pm. Ticket prices start at $20 for regularly priced balcony seating and $15 for Seniors 65+, active duty or retired military, children, and students (ages 23 & under with a student ID). Or, floor seating for $30 per person ($25 for Seniors 65+, active duty or retired military, children, and students (ages 23 & under with a student ID).
