Darrell Scott… If you see that name, even before you hear the song, you know it’s gonna be good! The Kentucky-born singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist landed in Nashville in the early ‘90s, and the list of artists he’s played and written for and with could fill volumes– Randy Travis, Garth Brooks, Brad Paisley, Patty Loveless, Hal Ketchum, Trisha Yearwood, Sam Bush, The Chicks, Tim McGraw, Faith Hill, Molly Tuttle, Bobby Bare, Mary Gauthier, and of course Guy Clark– and that’s only naming a very, very few.
On his own, Scott has released over a dozen albums, delivering the kind of songs that can elevate any artist, but coming from the man himself, each word is sung in a voice that carries the weight of angst, wit, rebellion, wisdom, and most certainly, truth.
