By all accounts, Ben Chapman is a natural. The native of Lafayette, Georgia lit out for Music City the day after his 21st birthday, and in a few short years has developed a smooth blend of patient songwriting and party-ready Southern rock that’s both bright and smokey, thoughtful, and evocative as a train in the distance. Ben’s debut album Make The Night Better does just that very thing, offering up odes to the neon light life as well as compelling blue-collar narratives, and his latest effort, Amber Sound Vol. 1 taps into the energy of Chapman’s Peach Jam residency at Nashville’s Basement with plenty of funky country groove and twang to go around.
